Movement Isn't Meant to Look Perfect—It's Meant to Feel Good

It's a conversation with your body.

For a long time, I believed movement had to look a certain way.

Every time I danced or exercised, there was a voice in my head judging me.

"You're not good enough."
"That doesn't look right."
"You need to be better."

Instead of enjoying movement, I was constantly trying to perfect it.
And when we're constantly listening to our inner critic, it's almost impossible to hear what our body is trying to tell us.
That realization changed everything.

This is what i did - Instead of asking, "Does this look good?"

I started asking, "How does this feel?"

That simple change transformed my relationship with movement. Movement became less about performance and more about connection.

Whether I'm guiding a bellydance class, leading a meditation, or hosting a wellness retreat, my intention isn't to help women become perfect dancers.

It's a reminder that your body isn't something to constantly judge—it's something to listen to.

Now, If your goal is to improve your technique or become a stronger dancer, practice absolutely matters.
But if you've been waiting because you don't feel ready... If you've been telling yourself you're not flexible enough, coordinated enough, or good enough...

It may be the belief that you have to be perfect before you begin.

Go ahead and play some music and dance a little dance

Much love,
